What to Wear?

Understandably, someone visiting a new church doesn't want to show up without knowing what the "social norm" is in regards to dress. Here at Saint James', we have members who like to dress up for church but we also have members who dress more casually. The choice is yours to make. Wear what you feel comfortable wearing.

More About the Church

Saint James' worships in the Anglican tradition — stemming from the early church originating in England and Great Britain. Today, we worship in a fashion that is Protestant, yet Catholic.

The Episcopal Church and the entire Anglican communion cannot be directly compared to any specific Protestant church nor the Church of Rome — it is unique in its own right.

We place our focus on our Lord Jesus Christ, remembering always that he sacrificed himself so that we may be saved. We strive to spread the Gospel in a thoughtful and meaningful manner so that we can bring the Good News to all people.

We uphold the Historic Creeds such as the Nicene Creed, which affirms our faith in God the Holy Trinity. We emphasize the need for Baptism and the celebration of the Lord's Supper.
