Mission Statement 

The mission of Saint James' Episcopal Church is to profess the Good News of Jesus Christ through worship, effective ministry and outreach so that others may know God's redeeming love. 


What's New at Saint James'
Father David Hanselman was recently installed as the Rector of Saint James' Episcopal Church of Watkins Glen and
​Saint John's Episcopal Church of Catherine.
We are blessed to be in ministry together.

Fundraising Concert on May 2
Mary Lynn Michal and Ken Kolodner will perform old time, Celtic, Quebecois, world and original music on hammered dulcimers, mbira and fiddle Friday, May 2, 7:30 p.m. at the St. James Episcopal Church, Sixth and Decatur Streets, Watkins Glen. Part of the proceeds are donated to St. James’ Medical Mission in memory of Dr. Blanche Borzell.

Tower and Building Restoration Project

The Historic Saint James' Episcopal Church was founded in 1830 and is located in Watkins Glen, NY.  We are an inviting Christian congregation that welcomes everyone to join us in worship.

is our sister parish with whom we share ministries and some worship services.

Handicap Accessibility
The Church has a ramp that can be installed to allow accessibility to the Church. It is not a permanent fixture. The Parish Hall has a ramp to its front door.  The Parish Hall has an accessible rest room.
