Matthew 19:21
Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” Why Give?
Your charitable donation helps greatly to maintain Saint James' mission here in Schuyler County. With your help, we can provide the community with a welcoming place to worship as well as to meet in fellowship for groups such as Bone Builders and Girl Scouts. Together with our sister church, St. John's Episcopal Church in Catharine, our Schuyler County International Women's Forum serves the women of Schuyler County with education and support. Additionally, we support the Bequia Medical Mission in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Our church members often donate to Episcopal Relief & Development, which seeks to "heal a hurting world" by providing assistance to those afflicted by hunger, disease, and disasters both here in the United States and abroad. We also contribute to the United Thank Offering (UTO) which supports mission and ministry throughout the Episcopal Church and in invited Provinces of the Anglican Communion in the developing world. A gift can also be made to assist us in restoring and preserving the historic Saint James' building. More information about this project can be seen here. |
